Beneficiary of Prepaid Energy and Housing Enabling
Aldemar de Jesús Zapata – Inhabitant of the municipality of Bello, Antioquia.
“In every way I have found the energy very useful, compared to other times when it was “pirate power”; it was not legal but smuggled. Now we have normal electricity and everything is legal. We no longer have the risk of being cut off later, nor the risk of short circuits or fires. I have electricity 24 hours a day unless I run out of power and one recharges and that’s it. We use it for the blender, refrigerator, television and a sound system. It is an ordeal to be without legal energy”.
Closing the Gap Project Beneficiary
Alexis Saldarriaga – Inhabitant of Corazón neighborhood 70th Borough of Medellín
“Before the sewage system was created, there were many odors and mosquitoes. Now, with the sewage
system, water is cleaner, and dirt does not fall there (in the creek) … The sewage system is very good, it helps us a lot in the community”.
Beneficiary of the United for Water Program
Diego Fernando Trujillo Posada – -Resident of Olaya Herrera neighborhood – Medellín
“We had to go to our neighbor’s so that he could give us the little bucket of water to make a small pound of rice (…) United by Water for me is everything (…) because without water we are nothing (…) My family feels very grateful for this project (…) Now we can say that we are citizens!”
United by Gas Program beneficiary
Natalia Paniagua Hernández.
“Today is a very special day for me. After waiting many years, I was finally able to connect to the natural gas network. For me it is like a dream come true; because for economic reasons, it
was a reality that I saw very far away.
Today, thanks to the Unidos por el Gas Program, I am a happy beneficiary of a subsidy that not only allows me to have access to a service that is available whenever I need it, but it is also safe, economical and the best thing is that it enhances the value of my home. How do I feel? Happy, I am very happy.
