Climate change

We are making progress in our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt our infrastructure to actively address the challenges of climate change

Introduction

This refers to long-term changes in temperature and climate patterns. Human activities have been a determining factor, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels, which have exacerbated climate variables, affecting ecosystems, infrastructure, and communities, especially the most vulnerable populations.

Addressing the causes of climate change involves decarbonizing the economy and reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG), while addressing the consequences and impacts requires adapting productive activities and increasing resilience.

Climate change also creates opportunities.
